OUR MISSION

Cornerstone School exists to empower future generations of Christian leaders to impact the world around them for the gospel of Jesus Christ. We desire our students to grow in confidence, faith, and academics and to fulfill the call of God on their lives.

NOTICE OF NONDISCRIMINATORY POLICY AS TO STUDENTS. Cornerstone School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school.

Statement of Purpose

At Cornerstone School, we are dedicated to giving every child the best education combined with outstanding spiritual training. We are equipping our younger generation to lead others through their integrity and love. Simply learning academics leaves our children far short of the tremendous calling God has for their lives.

We are guided by the wisdom of Proverbs 22:6 – “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Cornerstone School provides direction and a vision to be the best they can be. It is vital that we take the time to monitor what our children are learning and how they are being taught. At Cornerstone, be assured that our students are receiving the positive holistic training they need to be successful.

Our objective at Cornerstone is for all children who walk through the door to gain a deeper sense of their calling, to learn how to learn, to know they are the crown of God’s Creation, and to go forth with heads held high, walking into the rest of life victoriously.

OUR PHILOSOPHY OF CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

1.       The Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God.

2.      Jesus Christ is the central theme in history and is the central authority of what men say, do, and believe.

3.      Our educational goals and objectives begin with the Bible, among which are glorifying God, reaching the lost, and training and maturing individual believers to impact the modern world.

4.    The knowledge of Jesus Christ is essential for personal and individual development in physical, mental, social, financial, and spiritual matters.

5.       All members of the educational process should be personally committed to Jesus Christ.

6.       Apart from the ministry of the Holy Spirit, the educational process cannot truly take place.

7.       A proper relationship between family, church, and school is essential to Christian education.

8.   Education must instill the proper priorities of life, beginning with an individual commitment to Jesus Christ.

9.    Education must be designed to meet the student at his level of development and growth. It must teach each student how to learn and it must be individualized to meet the needs of every individual child.

10.  A teaching staff must be committed to these principles and must be able to communicate them effectively.
